This guide has been created to assist you when working on assignments for ENC 1101 with Dr. Freeman.
For your assignments you need information from books, articles, websites and other resources. This Guide was built to help you find information for your assignments in Dr. Freeman's ENC 1101 class.
The tabs above are called page headers and each page header is specific to an assignment. For example, when working on the Cause and Effect Essay, open that page header by clicking on it with a mouse or tapping on the header with your finger/stylus pen if using a mobile device.

As an online student, you might also find the Library Services for Distance Learning Students (LSDL) guide very helpful.
1. Log into Canvas and select a Course
2. Look in the left navigation side bar
The second option to log into the Library's article databases, streaming videos and access eBooks is through the HCC website (hccfl.edu).
Enter MyHCC to open the HCC Links. The library link will be in the right column under where you find Canvas.
On the Home page for HCC Libraries, click on "Log-in first for best results!". You will be prompted to enter your Borrower ID and PIN/Password.
Your borrower ID is your 7-digit student ID number. The password should be the last 4 digits of your student ID number. If you experience any problems logging into the online catalog or electronic databases, please contact the library and we will do our best to assist you.
