Hawk Card (HCC ID) & the Library: Trouble Logging In?

Information on how to get a HawkCard and its uses as a Library card.

Access online library resources from Canvas

Access the online resources linked from the HCC Libraries site:

  1. Your "Borrower ID" is your 7-digit student ID# (or employee ID#) on your Hawk Card.
  2. Input the last 4 digits of your ID# for the PIN. Looks like this.
  3. For example, if your ID# were 0456789, your PIN would be 6789.
  4. To change your PIN access “My Account”. Click “PIN” to change it.
  5. Still having trouble? Contact an HCC campus library.

Troubleshooting: Student ID (for Borrower ID)

Student ID#:

If you do not know your HCC Student ID number, you may:

  1. ask at the Library's circulation desk (have a photo ID)
  2. look on your registration statement
  3. HCC Live Help Desk 

Logging in to computers with your NetID

Why do you need it?

  • Your Net ID is required to log onto to the HCC Network and to print from library computers. This is the same log on you would use to access your MyHCC (Canvas) classes.
  1. Go to  https://netid.hccfl.edu/
  2. Follow the instructions to register your NET ID.

Logging in to the Library computers with your NetID:

  • Your username: first initial of first name, last name and any number assigned by the system.  i.e. John Smith = jsmith27
    (You can retrieve your user name at NetID if necessary.)
  • Your default password:  first initial of first name CAPITALIZED, first initial of last name (lowercase) followed by your 7-digit student number, i.e. Jsmith1234567

Troubleshooting: NetID

NetID:

  1. If your NetID or Hawk Card doesn't work call HCC Live Help Desk 
  2. Access the NetID https://netid.hccfl.edu/ site on a mobile device or open access computer to look up, manage, or change your username and/or password.
