Borrowing books & other materials

Checking Out Materials

  • Use your HawkCard (HCC ID) to check out materials at the front desk.
  • Patrons are fully responsible for all materials borrowed with the card.
  • Circulating books may be renewed if no request has been made to borrow the book.
  • You can check your library account online. Login with your HCC NetID
  • Overdue notices will be sent via Hawkmail. You will be responsible for the cost of unreturned library materials. Failure to return overdue materials will result in a hold placed on your academic record for the full value of non-returned items.
  • Reference Books and items placed on Reserve are for library use only library only.

InterLibrary Loans 

If HCC Ybor City Library doesn't have what you are looking for, let us help locate your desired materials. Requests can be made in our Library Discovery Search Catalog or by submitting an Interlibrary Loan Request Form.

Reciprocal Borrowing

With a current HCC ID/Library card, students & faculty will be allowed to check out books in-person from USF or any other state college or university library. Note: If you check it out in person you must return the books to the USF library.
