Faculty Resources (Brandon) : Journals for Faculty

A guide to Faculty library resources and services.

Journals A - Z

A number of education and discipline-specific journals are available through the library's databases.

To find out if we have access to issues from a specific journal, start at PRIMO (the library catalog) and look for "Find a Journal

If the journal is covered by one of the databases, you will see "available online."  Click it and  you will see links to the databases that cover that journal along with the years and volume numbers covered. The most recent issue(s) of some journals are not available through the databases because of an embargo period that some publishers impose.

Articles from journals that are not available through the HCC Libraries' databases may be requested through interlibrary loan.

Interlibrary Loan

Is there a book or article you need that is not in the HCC Libraries collection?   Check the statewide catalog. If you find an entry for the item you need, click on the title and use "check for available services" and then make a  UBorrow request.   The lending library will send a copy to your HCC campus library.   If the item is not available in the statewide catalog.  contact your campus library for interlibrary loan services.
