The Brandon Campus Library will soon have a makerspace equipped with a 3D printer, Cricut cutting machine, button maker, Legos, Ozobots, GoPros, and DSLR cameras. See more below

 

3D Printing Policy:

Students may submit a request for items to be printed on the Makerbot 3D printer at the Brandon Library!

Currently there is no charge for printing, but requests must meet the following requirements:

  • Files must be submitted to to the library in .stl format
  • 3D Printing form must be completed and approved prior to printing
  • Jobs will not be printed that will take more than 2 hours to print
  • No one will be permitted to use the library’s 3D printer to create material that is:
    • Prohibited by local, state or federal law.
    • A weapon, weapon parts, or replica thereof.
    • Obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the library environment.
    • In violation of another’s intellectual property rights. For example, the printer will not be used to reproduce material subject to copyright, patent or trademark protection.
