Accessibility and Library Resources: VPATs

What is a VPAT?

A VPAT is a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).  Organizations create a VPAT to outline their compliance with ADA Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).  The guidelines are open to interpretation and companies can go into more or less detail about the compliance of their projects.  Companies update their VPATs as required by updated guidelines or needed.  See links below for library groups who have compiled lists of VPATs by library vendors. NOTE: Accessibility reports do not take into account all screen reader/browser combinations - nor the skills/issues of a particular end user.
