Divine Nine

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) was founded at Howard University on May 10, 1930, to promote “unanimity of thought and action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.” Its mission is to foster cooperative actions of its members in dealing with matters of mutual concern. Composed of nine fraternities and sororities, the collective group is known as the Divine Nine.
