I am a Librarian Professor at Hillsborough Community College. I received a Master of Library Science degree (MLS) in 1999 from the University of South Florida and briefly worked at the USF Tampa Campus library before coming to HCC Brandon Campus in 2001. In Fall 2016 I transferred to HCC Ybor City Campus. I have a strong interest in emerging technologies in librarianship but also more broadly in terms of how these new technologies affect us as individuals and as a society.
I've maintained the HCC Libraries website since 2001, and have done many other web-design projects for the College. I 'm very active professionally at the state and nationally level while also serving on numerous college committees. I'm a council member and bargaining team member of the faculty union (FUSA), and serve as a local chapter Senator to United Faculty of Florida. For more on my professional work, please see the curriculum vitae tab above.
I live in Tampa, FL with my family. See the "Writing" tab for info on my creative pursuits.
