HCC Seed Library

Informational guide for the HCC Seed Library.

How it works

Step 1 - Borrow:
Check out a seed packet from the Seed Library. You can borrow up to ten seed packets for your garden. No ID needed and no due date. Fill out the check out form at the front desk. If you'd like, leave your email address for updates on the seed library including events.

Step 2 - Grow:
Plant your seeds in your garden or pots and watch them grow (save the seed envelope if you hope to return seeds to the library. Use this Seed Library guide to find information online and in the library about all manner of topics concerning gardening, planting, and seeds.

Take a photo of your garden, plants, and veggies. You can post photos to the Seed Library Guide.

Step 3 - Return:
Not required, but you can harvest your seeds from your vegetables and fruits at the end of the growing season and return surplus seeds to the Seed Library. Fill in a Seed Return Form so that we can know about the seeds being returned to the library. Drop it in the seed return drawer.
