Faculty Resources (Brandon) : Other Faculty Services

A guide to Faculty library resources and services.

Course Reserves

Reserves collectionFaculty may reserve items (their own, or the library's) for their classes at the circulation desk in the library. When items are brought to the library, the faculty member will be asked to sign a form authorizing library staff to barcode and place a secuity strip in the item. Reserve items may be used by students in the library only.

If you desire to have your course textbook on reserve, please bring a copy of it to the library. The library does not purchase textbooks but will accept copies that faculty place on reserve.

Reciprocal Borrowing & Interlibrary Loan

  • Reciprocal Borrowing
With a current HCC ID/Library card, students & faculty may check out a limited number of books from USF or any other state college or university system library in Florida.
  • Interlibrary Loan
We can also get books from other colleges & universities through Interlibrary Loan.
If HCC Brandon Campus Library doesn't have what you are looking for, let us help locate your desired materials. Contact your library.
  • Reference Assistance
The librarians will help you with your research and information needs, too. Contact your campus librarian for some assistance.

Leisure Collection

For your enjoyment, the library has an assortment of bestsellers in print and audiobook format which are available for checkout.
