General Information

Female autism is different

Males are 3.8 times more likely to be diagnosed with autism.  Approximately 1% of the population are both female and autistic -- Center for Disease Control 

Female Autism is underdiagnosed and displays different symptoms and different challenges than their male counterparts.  

Females with autism often go undiagnosed because of their skills of mimicry and masking. These behaviors take a toll on mental health and identity.
