1. What is the Hawk Card?
The Hawk Card is your HCC ID card. Please see the following web page for more information: https://www.onecardgivesback.com/hcc/

2. Do I need a Hawk Card?
Yes, if you are a current HCC student or employee. Along with serving as your HCC identification and providing other college benefits, the ID card is also your library card. The Hawk Card will allow you to check out books, etc. from the library and access online resources. A Hawk Card - activated and loaded with funds - is now required for printing and photocopying.

3. Where do I get a Hawk Card?
Go to your campus bookstore or the SouthShore library.

4. How much does a Hawk Card cost?
Your first Hawk Card is free. However, if you lose your card there is a replacement fee.

5. I don't have a card yet but I need to log in to the library's online resources.
No problem - fill out and submit the Online Access Request form to get your log-in information. Or contact your HCC campus library. However, be sure to get a physical Hawk Card as soon as possible - it is your official student ID card and much more.

6. I'm a new or returning student. How soon can I get my Hawk Card?

The day after you register. See above, "How do I get a Hawk Card?"

7. I take classes online -  how do I get a Hawk Card?
As a student taking online or web based courses, you can access the online library resources with your student ID#. The PIN is the last 4 digits of your student ID# or SSN (unless you've changed it). If you want a physical Hawk Card visit a campus bookstore or the SouthShore library.

8. How do I access the online library resources (LINCCWeb)?
Students/employees can access the online library resources with your 7-digit student ID# (or employee ID#). The PIN is the last 4 digits of your student ID# or SSN (unless you've changed it).

9. How do I change my PIN number?
Access “My Account”. Click on “PIN” to change it.

10. I'm having trouble logging in

11. Is my card automatically valid/activated for library use?
Cards are activated according to the campus carding schedule. If following this event you still have trouble logging on to online library resources, please fill out and submit the Online Access Request form. Or contact your HCC campus library

12. I already have an ID card - does that mean it is valid/activated?
Not necessarily. If you have an "old" HCC ID card, you must obtain a Hawk Card. You must be a current, registered student for your Hawk Card to be valid.
