Links to the Same Page as the Other "HCC LibGuides Home" Tab
But... the other goes directly to the URL when you click the tab. This is a choice when setting up a tab or page (synonymous terms in LibGuides parlance). That is, you can create the page so that it automatically links to another site in a new window...or just leave the URL space blank and you get a blank page in which to insert content boxes, which are the basis for the LibGuides template.
This is the "Rich Text" box type. I can enter and format text in the default rich text editor, as I'm doing now, or...
I can go into the HTML editor as I'm doing right now and type in text with HTML code...e.g. this hotlink, in boldface, which opens the HCC LibGuides Home Page in a new window. Browse by Subjects (or choose Authors), or Tags.
The templates in LibGuides can guide anyone step-by-step and they can be used as-is. Or...depending on how tech-savvy you are...you can make them as fancy as you want.
More about making the most of the templates in HowTos/Best Practices.
