To find books at the library you will need to use the library catalog. Click on Library Catalog below to search the catalog.
Library Catalog. Once you have the catalog open, follow some simple steps to locate books (print and eBook) that are in our library.
Click on Advanced Search.
Type in your keyword, for example, depression.
Narrow your search parameters from the start. In the keyword search term screen, open the pull down menu for Material Type and choose: Items in Library. For the Within pull down option, make sure Plant City is displayed to find books located in the HCC Plant City campus library.
To Narrow your Search Results, review the options in the left column under "Refine My Results". Format, Subject: Topic and Publication Date are good areas to help refine your search parameters.

In case you are not able to locate a printed book that fits your academic research needs, the HCC online catalog also has a substantial list of books in electronic format called eBooks. See the directions below for tips on searching and accessing an eBook.
Your borrower ID is your 7-digit student ID number. The password should be the last 4 digits of your student ID number. Please see the "Where to start" page for more log-in instructions. If you are experiencing problems logging into the catalog in order to view an eBook, please contact the library and we will our best to assist you.
In addition to books, the library also has a nice collection of DVDs, Blu-Rays and audio books. You will find these by searching the catalog.
