HCC ID / Library Card


  • Your HawkCard (HCC ID) also serves as your Library card with which you can check out materials from the library and access online resources.
  • Where do I get a HawkCard at Brandon.
  • Your library card may be used at any HCC campus.

Borrowing Books & Other Materials

Checking Out Materials

  • You must present your HCC library card to check out materials.
  • Patrons are fully responsible for all materials borrowed with the card.
  • Circulating books may be renewed if no request has been made to borrow the book. You can check your library account online at My Account.
  • Overdue notices will be sent via Hawkmail. You will be responsible for the cost of unreturned library materials.
  • Students who fail to return overdue materials will have a hold placed on their academic records for the full value of non-returned items
  • Reference Books may be used in the library only.
  • Items placed on reserve may be used in the library only.

InterLibrary Loans 

If HCC Ybor City Library doesn't have what you are looking for, let us help locate your desired materials with our Interlibrary Loan Form.

Reciprocal Borrowing

With a current HCC ID/Library card, students & faculty will be allowed to check out books from USF or any other state university system library. You must return the books to that library.

Leisure Collections

For your enjoyment, the library has a wide assortment of bestsellers in print and audiobook format which are available for checkout.

Services for Faculty

Ybor City Campus librarians are available to provide a customized library orientation for your class. Click "Class Orientation Request."

Faculty may reserve items for their classes at the circulation desk in Library (YLRC-2nd Floor). Reserve items may be used by students in the library only.
