Checking Out Materials

  • You must present your HCC library card to check out materials.
  • Patrons are fully responsible for all materials borrowed with the card.
  • Magazines, journals and newspapers may be used in the library only. 
  • Circulating books may be renewed if no request has been made to borrow the book. You can check your library account online at My Account.
  • Overdue notices will be sent via Hawkmail. You will be responsible for the cost of unreturned library materials.
  • Students who fail to return overdue materials will have a hold placed on their academic records for the full value of non-returned items
  • Reference Books may be used in the library only.
  • Items placed on reserve may be used in the library only.

InterLibrary Loans
If HCC Plant City Library doesn't have what you are looking for, let us help locate your desired materials with our Interlibrary Loan Form.

Reciprocal Borrowing
With a current HCC ID/Library card, students & faculty will be allowed to check out books from USF or any other state university system library. 

Leisure Collections
The library has collections of bestsellers and paperbacks, DVDs, & CDs for your enjoyment. These collections are funded by the Student Government Association.

Reference Assistance
Librarians are available to assist with research help.

Reserve Materials
Faculty may reserve items for their classes at the circulation desk in Library. Reserve items may be used by students in the library only.
